Scouts and Explorer Summer Camps

This summer, around 100 Scouts and Explorers from around the district were out camping, having fun and adventure. 2 separate camps took place for the Scout section during August.

Poacher 2017

Poacher 2017 – An International Jamboree held at the Lincolshire Showground with around 5000 Scouts and Guides from aroiund the world. Groups from Laceby, 11th Grimsby, West Grimsby, 5th Grimsby, Healing Scouts and the Explorers took part in the week long event. Activites on offer included canoeing, sailing, zorbing, crafts, gliding, pioneering, shooting, visits and much more. Bear Grylls dropped in to say hello, the Lincoln Imps and White helmets performed during the lunchtime entertainment and the week was rounded off with an exciting closing ceremony which included a performance from dance artists Diversity and a spectacular firework display.

District Camp – A small group of Scouts from around the District headed to Pybus Scout Campsite in North Yorkshire for a week filled with mountain biking, climbing, highwires, body boarding and much more.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
