Cubs 100 Promise Party

Cubs celebrate their Centenary in style!

To finish their Centenary year with a bang, Cub Scouts from across the District came together to celebrate 100 years since Cubs began.  Around 200 Cub Scouts gathered at the Cleethorpes Memorial Hall for a pirate themed party. A great night was had by all the Cubs with pirate games, live entertainment and even a parrot show!

Celebrations were simultaneously held up and down the country to mark the occasion, with all Cubs in the UK stopping at 19:16 (the year Cubs began) to renew their promise together.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
