West Grimsby Cubs’ Sleepover at Moot Hall

Posted on 10 April 2017

West Grimsby Cub Scouts had a great trip to Moot Hall this weekend for a rather unique sleepover! During the weekend dozens of Cubs got to enjoy camping indoors in the historic building at Holton-Le-Moor, a short drive from their base in Grimsby.

After staying over on Friday night at the hall, the Cubs spent Saturday at the nearby Hall Farm Park. Activities included tractor rides, nature trails, and even the opportunity to feed animals ranging from Alpacas to newly born lambs. As well as the farm related activities they enjoyed a party lunch and ample time in both the indoor and outdoor play areas, especially the go carts and the tyre slide.

After a night’s sleep back at the Moot Hall, Sunday brought more fun activities for the Cubs. This included an Easter Egg hunt, various games and a picnic lunch in the sun before the group travelled home.

Cub leader, Bev Lewis, looked after the young people during the event: “We had amazing weather at the farm for the time of year and everyone really enjoyed all the activities on offer. All in all it was a fantastic weekend, enjoyed by all Cubs and Leaders”
